Since its founding in 1948, the center of the SCHMIDT Group has been in Heilbronn/Neckar. From there, all activities of the SCHMIDT Group are coordinated and monitored worldwide.

The central engineering department in Heilbronn designs, plans and coordinates the implementation of logistics and outsourcing solutions as well as technical systems for the SCHMIDT Group. Central vehicle planning for Germany, fleet management and the main workshop as well as the main spare parts warehouse are also based in Heilbronn. Subsidiary in Abu Dhabi, UAE On January 2013, SCHMIDT opened its first subsidiary in the Middle East in Dubai (UAE), following their partnership with Agility. In addition to extensive consulting services for the local chemical industry, SCHMIDT is now able to directly provide their extensive know-how in the construction of logistics centers and for designing outsourcing contracts. Furthermore, transport services for bulk goods including decanting from maritime containers into bulk goods equipment are being realized. In July 2017 the company moved from Dubai to Abu Dhabi into the newly built multi-customer terminal. There are three storage silos, a container tipping platform as well as a warehouse with 1,500 m² storage space available.
